28 Apr One Sound: Tuning In!
When playing string instruments in orchestra, there was one drawback: playing the fifth string. The fifth string will harmonize only to a limited number of chords. While other musicians played more complicated music, the string instruments had to adapt by playing melodic tones to join by making the right adjustments. As believers we must make adjustments to our spiritual gifts to harmonize with others. A person gifted to teach may coordinate with someone having the gift to organize meetings and with those who setup meeting rooms. We must all work together if God’s work is to get done. Stewardship requires absolute cooperation when our talents are used in complimentary ways, creating harmony and Glory to God. One sound!
As each one has received a gift, minister it to one another, as good stewards of the manifold grace of God. Peter 4:10 NKJV
Prayer: Gracious Lord, help us grow deep in our love for one another, living in harmony, and putting our own needs aside to serve one another well. Amen.
