Chosen of God

Chosen of God

The Amplified version’s use of the preposition “for” rather than “to” in stating Pilate’s question is significant: Did this Roman governor judging the Son of God mean to imply, “in consideration of, beneficial to, in favor of, or with respect to…?” We know that the blood-thirsty mob that awful day made a dreadful decision, affecting us all. The crowd chose a man of murderous acts offering no societal good over a Man offering each of them their soul’s salvation—LIFE abundantly! —eternally! Today each of us must answer the same question: “What shall I do with Jesus?” We will give an account at the Judgment Day when we stand before the Father and the Son, the Risen Christ —the only One Who sets us free to even choose.

Again the governor said to them, Which of the two do you wish me to release for you? And they said, Barabbas! Pilate said to them, Then what shall I do with Jesus Who is called Christ? Matthew 27:21-22 AMP

Declaration: We decree and declare that we choose Jesus… for He chose us, paid the price for our sin and set us free to live! Amen.
