When faced with the day-to-day challenges of life, we generally focus on the painful effects of the issue at hand. The loss of a job, a health challenge, a financial difficulty, the death of a loved one...emotional setbacks can be difficult to bear alone.

Our Member Care Services Ministry exists to empower people to take control of their lives when they are faced with burdensome issues. We are here to provide a listening ear — through compassion, acceptance, restoration and empowerment — to help restore people to wholeness.

Bereavement

The loss of a loved one can hurt deeply. The mission of the Bereavement Ministry is to provide spiritual support and comfort to individuals and their relatives who experience this pain.

Health Ministry

The Health Services Ministry of New Birth Missionary Baptist Church consists of a group of Christian health-care professionals and trained laypersons who seek to promote a continuum of health (spiritual, emotional and physical) and wholeness within the church, community, nation and world.

His Hands (Deaf) Ministry

Let us all hear the Word of the Lord! His Hands Ministry interprets church worship services, activities and community outreach. It also offers communicational sign language classes structured for interested members of the congregation and the community.

Stewardship

Were you born without a head for financial matters? The ministry provides financial education / counseling from experienced financial educators / leaders to the members and non-members.

Benevolence (Empowerment) Services

It feels good to help and to give. The Empowerment Ministry partners with local agencies and organizations to provide services to the homeless, the hungry, victims of domestic violence, and those who have been displaced.

Visitation

Each of us needs some extra support from time to time. The Visitation Ministry is the caring and compassionate arm of the New Birth Missionary Baptist Church. We are in place to serve the congregation of New Birth and their relatives during times of illness, hospitalization, and confinement to home.

Family “1 On 1”

FAMILY “1 on 1” is a ministry designed to meet the needs of engaged couples, married couples, and families. Our unique ministry approach to 21st century families creates a supportive environment for two parent families, single parent families, children being raised by extended family, and even multi-generational (i.e. the sandwich generation) families. We strive to engage both the adults and children as we facilitate the creation of an intimate, loving, and nurturing home environment.
