The WatchMen
The WatchMen Men’s Ministry is built and structured to facilitate the four pillars — Empowerment, Accountability, Engagement and Camaraderie — required for a thriving and impactful men’s ministry. We believe in Empowerment through education and spiritual disciplines; Accountability through relationships; Engagement through opportunities to serve; and Camaraderie through fellowship. Our ultimate goal is to equip men to fulfill their role as watchmen over their homes, their church, their communities and their nations.
We offer three programs that guide men from where they are to where God needs them to be. We hope you’ll join us on this exciting personal journey.
“NOT ON MY WATCH!”
Ezekiel 33; Psalm 112
Discipleship Training Program (or DTP) — 12-month program consisting of four components (each component is three months in duration):
- Basic Training (general sessions),
- Comm/Ex (small groups),
- Ministry Operational Service (in-house placement),
- Special Ops (community service projects / Outreach).
General Men's Assembly (or GMA) — This area is responsible for hosting special men’s events such as: Combat Games (previously Tribal Games), Men's Advance, Mancations, Men's Breakfasts, Men In School, Men's Health Fair, Quarterly Men’s Meetings, etc.
Military Structure of Accountability and Mobility (or MSAM) — All men of New Birth (age 21 and older) will be assigned to a Brigade. The MSAM structure assures: accountability of all men, provision an easy path of communication, enhancement of the ability to mobilize/deploy men of New Birth, as well as the building of strong Camaraderie. Brigades will consist of multiple: Companies, Platoons, and Squads. Squads will consist of up 20 men each, with a Squad Leader.
