Athletic Ministries
The New Birth Athletic Ministry provides sports and recreation opportunities for young people in the New Birth family and surrounding communities. We believe that one should be judged not solely by performance on the field or court but also by the effort put forth in order to maximize potential. We challenge each individual to make the most of his or her God-given ability, not only in sports but in life as well. Our coaches are godly men and women who possess a vast knowledge of the sport they coach. What’s more, they truly love working with children.
The Athletic Ministry offers:
- Football (ages 5-14) – Our teams play in the YFA – Youth Football Alliance.
- Basketball (ages 5-17) – KBA is our developmental program for girls and boys. YBOA is the intermediate level of competition. The most challenging competition is on our AAU teams, which are sponsored by Nike.
- Track and Field (ages 5-14) – Our team is a member of the U.S. Track Association and competes on a national schedule.
- Soccer (ages 5-14) – Intramural and interchurch play, with more than 200 kids participating per season.
- Bowling (ages 5-18) – Partnered with Suburban Lanes. Multiple Scholarships to college are available.
